Based on the true story of Caprice Zinn, the cat of Ava Zinn who ran off into the woods behind Zinn's home after getting out of her cat harness in Fort Wayne, Indiana[1]. She was in the woods for 44 hours and it took a volunteer's humane trap that failed yet Zinn's dog Ella and a Ring doorbell to get her back inside. There was fear that if the weather got much hotter it could cause her to hyperventalate further down and die.
