Caprice Haley Zinn (born April 9, 2020) is an American Internet celebrity cat. She is known as one of the main characters in the YouTube series Caprice & Ella. In 2021, she appeared as a guest host for the show Vote for the Girls with Ava Zinn and Alexandra Moffitt, the first cat to host the flagship American version of the show in its history.

Background[edit]

Caprice was adopted by Ava in February 2021 from the Allen County SPCA (now Humane Fort Wayne), which is how Ava got her to be raised since Caprice's youngest years. Caprice grows up with Ava and her dog, Ella, who was the first pet Ava adopted after Caprice. With Ella, Caprice has a love-hate relationship. As a kitten, Caprice was a community cat that Ava was unaware of at first. Her middle name is a reference to Haley Rinehart. Most of the time, Caprice seems like a grumpy and cynical cat that only cares about herself and is always trying to get rid of Ella in the house she lives, but sometimes, in a hidden way, shows compassion for Ava and Ella.

2022 Search & Rescue[edit]

On July 29, 2022, Caprice broke away from her cat harness and ran into the woods behind her home.

The incident occurred in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where volunteers instead of firemen and police officers developed a plan to lure Caprice into a humane trap where Caprice was. Enlisting the help of local animal welfare enthusiasts, officials hoped to free Caprice quickly, before discovering the woods were surrounded by heavy brush and old tree limbs.

Thirty-one hours after Caprice went intothe woods, the humane trap was set. During the drilling, rescuers could hear Caprice meowing.

The humane trap only got two other cats and two raccoons but Ava Zinn's dog, Ella, and the Ring video doorbell was ultimately able to lure Caprice back inside.

In popular culture[edit]

Caprice signed on to serve as a substitute co-host of Vote for the Girls with Ava Zinn and Alexandra Moffitt in March 2021 following the death of Alexandra Moffitt. Her episodes aired from April 11 to May 23.
