The Purple Team East is the only division since the 2016 realignment to have each of its moderators win a competition as well as a competition's finale appearance: Kathi & Karly (America's Got Talent 11 - Laura Bretan had won the sixth season of Romania's Got Talent), Lanise & Danni (Dancing with the Stars 22 - Nyle DiMarco), and Nadia & Peta (So You Think You Can Dance 13 - Leon "Kida" Burns).

Prior to Sonia Donbar's arrival and the Doogans departure, the Purple Team East was one of two divisions since the 2016 realignment to have each of its moderators win a competition as well as a competition's finale appearance: Kathi & Karly (America's Got Talent 11 - Laura Bretan had won the sixth season of Romania's Got Talent), Lanise & Danni (Dancing with the Stars 22 - Nyle DiMarco), and Nadia & Peta (So You Think You Can Dance 13 - Leon "Kida" Burns). The other being the Purple Team North.

The Purple Team East is the only Purple Team division to have females who were at one point on the Pink Team before moving to the Purple Team and becoming duo moderators after taking a spouse or significant other away from one individual. Each of the other Purple Team divisions has seven such moderators (an eighth has since committed suicide). (In contrast, the Purple Team East's Lanise White began a relationship with Danni McClannahan shortly before McClannahan's husband died in October 2015. Karly Jameson had been dating Kathi Jameson since 2016 and quietly wed in November 2015. Peta-Alyce Kaizer auctioned off her virginity to eventual fiancee Nadia Lorenzo in January 2016.)

Purple Team East
Conference Women's
League Vote for the Girls
Founded 2016
No. of teams 4

The Purple Team East is a division in the Vote for the Girls Moderators Conference. It was created prior to the eighth season in the fall of 2016, when VFTG realigned the Purple, Pink, Red, and Blue Teams into two divisions in each of the sub-conferences.

The Purple Team East currently has three moderators:

Moderator City/Town
Sonia Donbar Louisville, Kentucky
Kathi & Karly Kathi Jameson Joilet, Illinois
Karly Jameson Indianapolis, Indiana
Nadia Lorenzo Miami Beach, Florida/|Woodstock, New York
Lanise & Danielle Lanise (White) McClannahan Green Bay, Wisconsin
Danielle McClannahan Terre Haute, Indiana

Before the 2016-17 season, the duos of Nadia Lorenzo and Donna & Tim, joined the moderator panel; another duo Kathi & Karly was reinstated to the Purple Team with Karly Jameson (the former Karly Ryder, Jr. had moved moving from the Pink to Purple Team upon marrying Kathi Jameson and taking Kathi's last name to alleviate confusion of her mother and an Australian musician of the same name) panel following respective incidents in the fall of 2014; Lanise White had belonged to the Purple Team since the 2015-16 season.

The Purple Team East is the only Purple Team division to have females who were, at one point, on the Pink Team before moving to the Purple Team and becoming duo moderators after taking a spouse or significant other away from one individual. Each of the other Purple Team divisions has seven such moderators (an eighth, Kymberly Alvaraz has since committed suicide).
