Luka Richard Runecraft (born Lilith Runecraft November 30, 1975) is an American broadcaster, spokesman, announcer and meteorologist. His well-known occupation is a stint in which he is the villan for the American version of Vote for the Girls.

Biography and career[edit]

Runecraft was born and raised in Milwaukee to longtime Milwaukee anchorman Melvin Runecraft and Cheryl Lawton, before moving to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2006. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1998 with a degree in broadcasting and study meteorology and later became a television meteorologist.[1] After an internship at then-Fox affiliate WTOR-FTV in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Runecraft was offered the morning weather position at WWJD in Detroit. Runecraft was later promoted to Chief Meteorologist for WWJD and worked for the station until November 2015.

Since December 2015, he was the main male moderator of the American version of Vote for the Girls, following the death of longtime male moderator Leonard Lai.[2] The announcement of Runecraft's hiring was made official on November 23, 2015.[3] During a question-and-answer segment with then-WXWI weatherman Bill Leep in 1993, Runecraft asked how he could get Leep's job. Leep brought Runecraft onstage and asked him to give an example of how he would present the forecast.

Since 2015, Runecraft has been a staff meteorologist for the NoSirGifts flagship fantasy television stations WTOR and WXXC in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
