The tenth season of Vote for the Girls, also known as Vote for the Girls with Ava Zinn & Alexandra Moffitt, premiered on August 20, 2018 and was initially called on December 18, 2018, but after internal review will conclude on September 9, 2019. Ava Zinn officially announced Vote for the Girls's renewal in May 2017.[1]
Ava Zinn returned for her tenth consecutive season with Thia Tola, Lanise White, Kendra Ray, Danni McClannahan, Kathi Jameson, and Karly Jameson returning for their fifth season; Nadia Lorenzo, Maribel Mort, Maci Blanca, Sophia Blanca, Natasha Gower, Jenny Riva, Tulissa Kümmert, Rachael Passalt, Hannah Wilson, Kylie Dwyar, Marti McDaniel, Breeanna Sorensen, Bria Savage, Jacqui Fountaine, Tim Doogan, Donna Doogan also returned for their third season as well as Alexandra Moffitt, Andrea Coolranch, Karla Hansen, Marla McClinton, Jenna Monroe, Devin Martin, Sonia Donbar returning for their second season. Luka Runecraft, Lydia Delagatto, Lauren Herman, Liza Black, Eboni Hill, Lauren Rodriguez, Leanna Claussen, and Karen DuBois moved from Zinn's Villains to the moderator panel. Cathryn Swaringen was the only addition to the moderator panel.
Clark Jones returned for his sixth season as well as Phil Allen, Steve Baker, Kye Sanchez, returning for a third season, Hunter Diaz, Bryant Cortos, Dan Doakes, and Louis Durant returning for a second season as Zinn's Villains.
This was the first full season to be produced and recorded in Fort Wayne, Indiana after nine seasons in Marion, Indiana. Founder and host Ava Zinn was absent for most of the season due to Zinn and her company (Aeverine Zinn Holdings) moving from Marion to Fort Wayne and the legal consequences Zinn is currently facing due to her move as well as relaunching her animated sitcom Queen of the Willis. Karly Jameson, Rachael Passalt, Kendra Ray, and WTOR anchorman Frank Davidson rotated as guest hosts to fill in for Zinn to co-host with Alexandra Moffitt, yet Zinn oversaw most of the season to make sure that her high quality standards are retained, but was otherwise not involved.
It is also the first season featuring only eight villains due to layoffs and the final season to feature Tim Doogan prior to his death on February 2, 2019.
Glenn Swaringen, Ted Shields,Peta-Alyce Kaizer, Benjamin Donbar, Carrie Ewan died during the previous season while Kent Morgan, Sally Brock were terminated during the previous season.
For the second time since the sixth season, the site posted Classic Vote for the Girls in place of The Voice 15 Final results, despite Chevel Shepard and Kennedy Holmes as the remaing females who advanced to that show's finale as well as the entire seventeenth season of American Idol and the sixteenth season of The Voice. In the interiim, a 10th Anniversary Tournament took place in which Danielle Bradbery defeated Jena Asciutto, Addison Agen, and Christiana Danielle. Although Bobby Bones, Chevel Shepard, Laine Hardy, and Maelyn Jarmon respectively won DWTS 27 , The Voice 15, American Idol 17, and The Voice 16, Ava Zinn overruled and allowed Bones' DWTS and Hardy's Idol victories respectively with the Moderators' Save of Evanna Lynch and Madison Vanderburg (as those respective female contestants finished third in both competitions as well as the last girl standing in both competitions) that allowed Donna Doogan to become the winning moderator of Dancing with the Stars 27, The Voice 15 (with Phil Allen), American Idol 17 (with Clark Jones), and The Voice 16 (with Jacqui Fountaine, Phil Allen, and Clark Jones). Additionally, Jarmon's victory on The Voice 16 allowed Zinn's Duets pick, Bridget Carrington, in the Vote for the Girls Hall of Fame as John Legend was the winning coach of The Voice 16.

Reassignments and realignment[edit]
With the arrival of Cathryn Swaringen and existing moderators, the main moderator panelists were realigned into eight divisions: four moderators in each division in the Women's Conference and four divisions in each conference, yet most the villains either left or moved to the Women's Confrence. The producers and directors tried to maintain the historical rivalries from previous alignments, while at the same time attempting to organize the moderators geographically. Legally, Ava Zinn, Alexandra Moffitt, Maribel Mort, Karly Jameson, and Cathryn Swaringen were required to be in different divisions as part of any realignment proposals.[2]

- Donna Doogan and Tim Doogan was placed in the Purple Team North joining Ava Zinn, Kendra Ray & Hannah Wilson, and Rachael Passalt.
- Marla McClinton moved from the Pink Team East to Purple Team South joining Bria & Devin, Lauren Herman, and Karen DuBois.
- Sonia Donbar moved from the Purple Team South to Purple Team East joining Kathi & Karly, Lanise & Danni, and Nadia Lorenzo.
- Karen DuBois moved from the Red Team South to the Purple Team South.
- Liza Black moved from the Blue Team West to the Purple Team West joining Jenny & Tulissa, Thia & Natasha and Janet Webb.
- Luka & Lydia moved from the Red Team North to the Pink Team East joining Maribel Mort, Sophia & Maci, and the reassigned Karla Hansen.
- Karla Hansen moved from the Pink Team North to the Pink Team East.
- Alexandra Moffitt, Jacqui Fountaine, and Andrea Coolranch remains on the Pink Team North with newcomer duo moderator Cathryn & Olivia.
- Leanna Claussen and Lauren Rodriguez moved from the respective Red Team South and Red Team West to the Pink Team West joining Kylie Dwyar and Nadine Cole.
- Eboni Hill moved from the Red Team South to the Pink Team South joining Marti McDaniel, Breeanna Sorensen, and Jenna Monroe.

Relocation of Ava Zinn from Marion, Indiana to Fort Wayne, Indiana[edit]
On February 23, 2018, Ava Zinn exercised her option to relocate to Fort Wayne. [4]
Zinn and the city of Marion, Indiana were negotiating deals to keep Zinn in Marion, but officials in Marion balked at the terms. Publicly, city (Marion, IN), county (Grant County, IN) and state officials expressed no interest in providing further funding to keep Zinn in Marion in light of those entities, as well as taxpayers. As such, if a resolution was not reached by the end of the 2016–2017 TV season and the City of Marion, Indiana remains non-compliant in its obligations under the lease agreement, Zinn would be free to nullify her lease and relocate.
Zinn's relocation from Marion, Indiana to Fort Wayne became official on May 14, 2018.

Tim Doogan[edit]
Purple Team North Moderator Tim Doogan died in Fort Wayne, Indiana on February 2, 2019. No cause of death was reported, but it was reported by Donna Doogan it was an alcohol overdose.[6][7]
Discipline for on-set incidents[edit]
- Reagangate
On December 4, 2018, The elimination of DeAndre Nico on the fifteenth season of The Voice was met with criticism by the other moderator panelists when Adam Levine on The Voice made some controversial comments "throwing him under the bus" in favor of his other artist and Vote for the Girls' supported contestant Reagan Strange who was unable to perform in the Instant Save due to her sickness. Ava Zinn and Alexandra Moffit stated Nico's elimination was justified. However the 15 other moderators on the purple team then tried to get the six VFTG-supported contestants left on The Voice (Strange, Sarah Grace, Kymberli Joye, Chevel Shepard, MaKenzie Thomas, and Kennedy Holmes) over the two remaining Zinn's Villains picks (Chris Kroze and Kirk Jay) with disasarous results, causing Zinn to leave the set with Moffitt, which makes the fourth time Zinn leaves the set since season 6, but not leaving through the front door like season 6, leaving the 30 moderators behind. Zinn then returned to the set and called the fall cycle "dreadful" and said they "had better competitions than that", calling the Pink Team a "disaster" and the Purple Team "embarrassing".
On December 5, 2018, Pink Team South moderator Eboni Hill, Pink Team West moderator Leanna Claussen, Pink Team East moderators Sophia Blanca Maci Blanca, Lydia Delagatto, Karla Hansen, Pink Team North moderators Cathryn Everman and Olivia Everman, Purple Team South moderators Marla McClinton, Karen DuBois, Lauren Herman, Bria Savage, Purple Team West moderator Liza Black, Pink Team East moderator Sonia Donbar and Nadia Lorenzo all got in a shouting match with Zinn and Moffitt, after the eliminations of Dave Fenley, Nico, and Stange. An infuriated Zinn responded to this by dropping the pan on the floor and sending the Pink and Purple Teams to the news room. While doing this, Black continued to yell at Zinn and Hill continued to yell at Moffitt for respectively disrespecting Hill and Black, until Zinn was left with no choice but to call off the competition with a "loss", despite Chevel Shepard and Kennedy Holmes advancing to The Voice 15 final, effectively giving Red Team villain Phil Allen eventually his first moderator victory. This marked the fourth time a villain has been declared the winning villain after Archibald Coolranch (The Voice seasons 1 and 2), Leonard Lai (The Voice seasons 6 and 7), and Ted Shields (The Voice season 12) as well as the first villain with a female flex pick.
After the fifteenth season of The Voice finale, Zinn announced to all four teams teams that she disqualified Eboni Hill and Liza Black because she would not tolerate insults against her reputation for supporting female contestants.

- Ava Zinn legal dispute, suspended for entire season
As previously mentioned, Purple Team North moderator and VFTG host Ava Zinn was interrogated on August 3 near her apartment in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on suspicion of errors made after failing to obtain approval prior to Zinn's move from Marion to Fort Wayne. Zinn ultimately made an out of court settlement on February 7, 2019. Zinn's daughters, Samantha and Tiffani took over Team Ava for the season.

Many of the site's moderator or villains season broke records or made history for the show in a number of ways:
- Louis Durant became the eightteenth winning moderator as Durant's final pick James Grahm was announced as the winner of the second season of The Four: Battle for Stardom.
- Nadine Cole became the nineteenth winning moderator as Cole became the winning moderator of the fifteenth season of SYTYCD upon Slavik Pustovoytov being flexed from Red Team villain Kye Sanchez to Cole with Cole's picks of Hannahlei Cabanilla, Jensen Arnold, and Genessy Castillo.
- Tim and Donna Doogan became the twentieth winning moderator of the twenty-seventh season of Dancing with the Stars after Purple Team East's Sonia Donbar was disqualified.
- Phil Allen became the 21st moderator and the fourth villian after Archibald Coolranch, Leonard Lai, and Ted Shields after Allen was announced as the winning villain of The Voice 15. Allen became the first villain winning with a female flex pick, Chevel Shepard.

- Alejandro Aranda, originally chosen by Clark Jones, was flexed to Donna Doogan upon Jerimiah Lloyd Harmon's elimination.
- Following a Moderator's Challenge call by Nadia Lorenzo upon Madison Vanderburg's third place finish leaving the aformentioned Aranda and eventual winner Laine Hardy, who was chosen by Clark Jones. The initial call was the moderator panelist was unanimous in declining Vanderburg's defefat, but after Zinn reviewed Laine Hardy's audition, it was determined that Hardy was accompanied by Ashton Brooke Gill during Hardy's audition under the "Nick Fradianai Rule" and the call was overturned and secured Doogan's moderator victory.

In the season premiere, three Queen of the Willis episodes were referenced: the bathroom and living room scenes from Therapist Hopping 2, The Story of Melissa's Mother's Heather's 60 second vomiting scene and the bedroom scene from Ten Years to Life was used for a series of YouTube cross-over videos promoting Vote for the Girls's supported contestants. Ava Willis is watching Vote for the Girls, and informs Heather she watched one of the strangest episodes where she saw Ava Zinn sell her virginity to a 50 year old Denver, Colorado news anchorwoman and Heather tells Ava Willis that is was a bet Ava Zinn lost and works up the courage to tell Ava that she voted for Chloe Kohanski and Brynn Cartelli on The Voice. Ava gets enraged at the news as she voted for Addison Agen[11] and Christiana Danielle[11], and orders Heather to reconsider.
In the bedroom scene from "Ten Years to Life", as Ava and Angie are having lesbian sex, Ava yells out Maddie Poppe's name, so Angie realizes that Ava is imagining her as the American Idol 16 winner to maintain her libido. [11] In The Drunken Hoosier scene, Ava yells out Hannahlei Cabanilla's name as Ava and Angie have lesbian sex.
In the bathroom scene from "Therapist Hopping 2", Heather considers voting for contestants Milo Manheim and Juan Pablo di Pace on the 27th season of Dancing with the Stars (instead of Evanna Lynch and Aexis Ren following Tinashe's elimination)[11], Jensen Arnold on the fifteenth season of So You Think You Can Dance[11], Glennis Grace on the thirteenth season of America's Got Talent[11], Chris Kroze on the fifteenth season of The Voice (instead of Reagan Strange, Sarah Grace, Kymberli Joye, Chevel Shepard, MaKenzie Thomas and Kennedy Holmes) [11], and some guy Ava Zinn really hates on the 17th season of American Idol[11] (with Tabby mentioning Ava Zinn went undercover as a contestant to audition eight years earlier). In the first and fourth videos, Tabby brutally beats up Heather for her different votes, in their respective videos, asking "Where's my Vote for the Girls pick?" and forces her to vote for female contestants. In the second video, when Heather thinks about voting for Jensen Arnold, Tabby and Shushu does't beat Heather and Shushu instead says, "Well, it's about bloddy time you fucking cunt," and Tabby replies, "Now you're talking my language! Thank you, Heather!" with Shushu saying "I would have loved it if she won though, but Hannahlei (Cabanilla) won the fucking show." The scene cuts to the aforementioned Drunken Hoosier scene. In the third video, when Heather thinks about voting for Glennis, Tabbby doesn't beat her up and instead says, "Oh, fuck this. I'm not doing one for fucking America's Got Talent," referring to the lack of success VFTG had with AGT.
