Kalvin Zinn (born Kylee Lynn Donovan December 1, 2000) is the adopted transgendered son of Vote for the Girls host and former WXXC-FTV Fort Wayne news reporter Ava Zinn and the transgendered son of American socialite Amanda Donovan.

Life and career

Zinn was born on December 1, 2000 in Brandon, Florida to Amanda Davidson (b. 1981 d. 2014) and Juan Miko Donovan (b. 1973 d. 2015) and was initially named as "Christi Shannon Donovan" and stated that Donovan was the father of Kalvin. Miko wrote letters describing his dubious motives to Davidson. Davidson took a DNA test to prove the paternity. Davidson and Donovan married November 19, 2000 after DNA tests proved Miko to be the biological father of her child, renamed Kylee Lynn Donovan.

On December 3, 2015, Ava Zinn filed to legally adopt Kalvin from Davidson's previous marriage to Juan Donovan. The adoption was finalized on January 4, 2016 and Kalvin's name was changed to Kylee Lynn Zinn upon the adoption being finalized.

Kalvin has five maternal half-sisters Katie Davidson (b.1988 d.2013), Deandra Zinn (b. Dean Zinn 1990 d.2014), Coco Zinn (b.1992 d.2012), Samantha Zinn (b. 1993) and a half-brother, Thomas Zinn (b. 1997 d. 2006).

Personal life and gender transition

On June 1, 2018, Zinn began undergoing a physical and social gender transition from female to male. Kalvin will have a bilateral masectomy performed the beginning of December 2018 before beginning hormone therapy in December. In July 2018, an Indiana Court granted his request for a name change and he will legally complete her transition by April 2021, when he will have his gender officially changed on all of his legal documents including his birth certificate. Because he wants to have biological children, Zinn did pre-operative egg freezing in January 2018 allowing artificial insemination to be used to produce genetic offspring at a later date.
