Notable events

The show is undergoing a number of changes that will be different from past seasons, including the addition of make-up and regular competitions (as the site already followed So You Think You Can Dance since 2010, as well as America's Got Talent and Dancing with the Stars. During an episode of Karly Jameson's talk show on November 24, 2020, it was revealed Vote for the Girls will be adding The Masked Singer and Big Brother.

Changes to make-up and regular competitions

This was the first season that the Pink and Purple teams holding the rights to Big Brother, The Bachelor, and The Bachelorette'. These competitions differ from American Idol and The Voice; due to Zinn's commitments to her studies at Ivy Tech Fort Wayne, she is not able to host while presenting Big Brother, The Bachelor, and The Bachelorette, therefore Jameson is slated to take Zinn's place as host during Big Brother, The Bachelor, and The Bachelorette.

This is also the first season that the Red and Blue Teams hold the rights to support contestants from The Masked Singer as well as America's Got Talent and So You Think You Can Dance. The Red and Blue Team will take over SYTYCD from the Pink and Purple team. Jameson will present The Masked Singer, AGT, and SYTYCD due to Zinn being unable to host.

Changes to flex picks

On November 24, 2020, Karly Jameson announced on her talk show a major change to the flexible pick procedure: supported contestants on American Idol, The Voice, and Dancing with the Stars may be flexed or cross-flexed as soon as the audition phases. The male villains will be allowed to flex up to two male contestants each on Dancing with the Stars and Big Brother while the female moderators will be allowed to flex up to two female contestants on The Masked Singer, America's Got Talent, and So You Think You Can Dance , while the same rules applies for American Idol and The Voice.[6]
