The "Theme from Vote for the Girls" is a song by Kassie DePaiva and Karly Jameson that was completed in 2010 but not released in its entirety until July 30, 2018, when it The new theme music made its debut on Vote for the Girls' 10th anniversary season premiere and has been well known as the opening theme.

History

The song was originally released by Peabo Bryson in 1984 as the theme of the ABC soap opera One Life to Live. However, in 2010, Kassie DePaiva was approached by the producers of ABC soap opera to perform a cover for theme, was used as part of that show's soundtrack that year. At the same time, Vote for the Girls creator and execuitive producer Ava Zinn considered to commission DePaiva's version as well as Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves by Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin, but ultimately chose Here Come the Girls by Sugababes instead and would not commission a new theme song for the internet television show until 2018.
