"Quillsville Cold Case: The Molestation of Marissa Porter" is an eleventh season episode of Queen of the Willis slated to air on January 2023. The episode deals with the 1987 molestation and murder of Marissa Porter, who was kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and murdered. Her murderer left several anonymous messages and notes in Quillsville and Worchester, Massachuttess between 1989 and 1999, openly boasting about Marissa's murder and threatening to molest and kill again.

Via DNA profiling, the Quillsville Police Department identified Marissa's murderer as Ted Peters. Peters was convicted and sentenced to 80 years in prison on the charges of child molestation and murder.

A man, who was romantically involved with Alisan in high school in Massachuttess, claims that members of a fraternity might have been involved in her sister's death in 1987. Alisan, The victim's estranged father and a bar owner are also viewed as potential suspects.

Plot[edit]

April 1, 1987[edit]

In a fast food restaurant in 1987, Alisan picks up two trays and finds an empty table, accompanied by her father (Dirk), brother (Alan, now sister Ariel), and sister, Marissa. As the two kids start to eat, the little boy Alan asks the father what he is going to have, only to receive the reply that ”Daddy already had his lunch.” He then asks if they could go skating later, to which Dirk gives a very quick no. Dirk struggles to open a packet of ketchup, fingers shaking. Alan asks again why they cannot go skating, admitting that he wants to be like her mother. Dirk looks up for a second, visibly affected by what his son has just said. He finally opens the ketchup and pours it all over the fries, much to Aisan’s dismay. Dirk tells Alisan that it is just ketchup, but Alan is quick to reply that Marissa prefers mayonnaise. Marissa’s soft drink accidentally gets knocked over and spills. Amidst the chaos, Alan points out yet again that ”Mommy says you’re a good skater— why don’t you ever want to skate with us?” As the people in the fast food joint are starting to stare, Dirk simply tells his kids to finish their food; he’ll be back for them in a few minutes.

Quickly putting on his jacket, Dirk walks out of the door.

Night time has come in Quillsville and snow is falling peacefully to the ground. The camera pans down to find a body by a dumpster located outside of a bar. Two bodies are covered by a layer of snow. It is Dirk and Marissa. Fingers are typing on a typewriter. As the piece of paper is taken out of the machine, we can read the words that have been typed out on the form. "Marissa Porter. Accidental death." and "Dirk Porter. Accidental death."

In the present day, Lilly Rush arrives and notices Alisaan and Sharane, but decides not to say anything. She notices the Alisan and asks if she can help her. Sharane says she’d better talk to Lilly about the murder of her sister from 1987. Her name was Marissa Porter, found dead with her father beside the bar where Dirk worked. Marissa's autopsy Marissa's autopsy revealed she had been sexually assaulted and then strangled to death. Lilly asks if Dirk had been drunk at the time, to which Alisan replies that Dirk was always drunk. It was thought his and Marissa's deaths had been an accident. That was what Alisan herself had thought, until she met some guy by the name of Ted. He had been a student at the time, and he had known Dirk on the night of the murder while he was drinking with his fraternity brothers. Alisan thinks that perhaps things had gotten out of hand.

Captain Brad Hunter subtly joins Sharane, asking who the mystery trans girl is. It is revealed to be Alisan's transgendered sister, Ariel Porter.

Lilly, Officer Dailey and Sharane check the case file down in the vault. Records show Dirk was 32 and found dead by a homeless guy in a parking lot beside an unamed bar and Marissa was 11 when she was found dead by the same homeless guy next to Dirk's body with one of Marissa's shoes, and a sex toy in a shopping bag. A motorist reported seeing a blue pickup truck near this site in 1987. Officer Dailey comments that autopsy revealed that Dirk had suffered an injury to the head and the alcohol content in his blood was .32. The temperature that night had been the real murder, plunging down to a chilling 16 F. Lilly theorizes that perhaps the fraternity boys had thus assisted in the murder. Dailey notices that there was blood on Dirk’s coat which was never tested. Ariele Porter states that Dirk had separated from his wife Dorthy, who had been in Massachuttess with their Arielle (then Alan) and Alisan on the night of the murder.

Lilly offers to go and question Dorthy, but Officer Dailey eagerly volunteers for the job. Dailey and Nick Jeffries hunt down Ted outside of the Avon Mariott before he has to return to Massachuttess. Ted claims that he didn’t know or see much at all. All he knew was that Dorthy, Alisan and Marissa were pretty, Dirk drunk and hanging out with a guy named Garth; a bad combination.

Ted and Garth walk into The Drunken Hoosier and places their order with Leona. Garth and Ted sits down at the table next to Angie, Miles, Stephanie, and Sharane, who are drinking and minding their own business. Garth attempts to introduce himself, only to be ignored as Angie, Miles, Stephanie and Sharane goes. Garth asks Angie who she is, to which she replies that she and her gal pals are only here to drink. Garth offers to buy them a drink a split second before Alisan, Karly, and Avril sits beside Angie, Miles, Stephanie and Sharane and asks how many drinks they've already had.

Ted admitts he knew perfectly well where things were headed, so he left, telling Garth that he had to and study. That was all he saw, and he had no idea who Alisan was been either. He tells Officer Dailey and Nick Jeffries that their fraternity had this room in the house called The Beach and an event called Campfire Night, to which a guy or a transgirl could do it with a girl or transman in the room while all of the other guys could watch, unbeknownst to the girl or transman. ted knew that he and the other guys had been jerks. But all he knows is that it was Campfire Night, and it looked like that Garth had found his girl.

Sharane and Lilly pay a visit to Garth in his office in Indianapolis. It has been 35 years and there is a significant difference between the college boy and the business man. Garth tells them that they can’t blame him for something that has happened 35 years ago. Lilly replies that they can, in fact, they do it all the time. Garth tries to brush it off, saying that maybe Marissa was a young girl that wanted to have a walk on the wild side, no harm in that. But Lilly and Sharane think that things went a little differently once they were outside. Maybe Marissa and Dirk tried to resist, and Garth got a little rough with Dirk and Marissa in the parking lot, ’cause they heard Dirk does that sort of thing. Garth reveals that they never closed the deal.

Dirk is drinking with Garth and a bunch of other fraternity boys. The group is playing a game, naming off all the NFL football cities that they know. Dirk names Foxborough, Massachusettss, where New England plays. Garth thinks Dirk is wrong, but Marissa assures Dirk that he is right. Garth and the other boys brush off Dirk and Marissa claims as a joke. Dirk is not impressed and gets up to leave, only to have Garth try and convince him to come back to the house. Before things get out of hand, a cop whips out his badge and order the boys back to campus.

Back at QMPD, Sharane notes that there were two types of blood on Dirk’s coat—one is his, the other is unidentified. Captain Hunter suggests that it’s probably the killer’s. He also asks if anybody would know who that Leona girl was

Nick Jeffries enters with the mystery cop, none other than Officer Dailey himself. He had been at the bar to see Dirk.

Officer Dailey, Ariel, and Sharane meet up outside of the station. Turns out Officer Dailey knew about Dirk's DUI—Alisan, Ariel, and Marissa had been in the car, that’s why Dorthy finally left Dirk. There’s silence between the two, and Sharane finally comments on how Dorthy still looks the same. Dorthy asks Sharane if she thinks that she’d pass for a college girl, to which Sharane replies ”To me you would.” Lilly, Jeffries and Sharane find Dorthy and the five visit the site where Dirk and Marissa died. Dorthy tells the detectives that she gave Dirk his card every week, and every week he threw it out. He always seemed like the stubborn drunk he was, though Ted thought he could save her and Marissa but eventually realized that he was making no effort to drop the habit. He notes that Lilly sounds like he’s been through the program, and he brushes it off, saying that she encounters a lot of these cases on the job. Ted says that Lilly never answered his question, and gives her his card, stating that he’s not afraid of a 2 a.m. phone call.

Sharane and Jeffries pay a visit to The Drunken Hoosier's bartender and owner, Leona Powell. They tell Powell that they knew Dirk had been dealing drugs, and since Dirk had been working for the cops, informing them of Powell’s little ”side business”, that gave her a pretty good motive to hurt Dirk, plus the fact that he and Marissa had ended up dead in her parking lot. Powell maintains that she never touched Dirk, but that night, Dorthy really had it out for him.

Inside the bar, Dirk finishes up the drinks that had been left by the customers. Powell is watching from the doorway, and says to him if he wants another drink, all he has to do is just ask. Dirk kneels down beside Powell’s dog Damien and says that he’s really hungry. Powell simply replies that he needs the dog that way, and leads Ravage away. An angry Dorthy and Ted comes barging into the door and grabs Dirk, asking him where the kids are. Dirk had ended up leaving Alan (now Ariel), Alisan and Marissa at the fast food restaurant, Golden Roadhouse. Dirk insisted it was only for fifteen minutes, but Ted knows it was actually for five hours. Dirk admits that he just needed one drink, and had ended up losing track of time. Dorthy asks to see her kids, but Ted and Dirk tells her she’s never going to see them again, and also demands that Dirk stay away from them.

He leaves out the door of the bar, with Ted and Dorthy running after Dirk.

Lilly and Sharane interrogate Ted and Dorthy, who maintains the fact that they was really in Louisville on the night of Dirk and Marissa’s murder. Lilly points out that could be a bit of a problem, since there was a witness that says otherwise. Ted admits that he was in the bar with Dorthy that night, but afterwards they went to Louisville with Alisan, Ariel, and Marissa. Yes, Ted had been angry, furious with Dirk in the bar, but once out in the parking lot, everything changed.

Dirk follows Ted out into the parking lot. Alisan, Ariel, and Marissa are in the car, along with a barking Doberman. Dirk tearfully cries that all she wants to do is say sorry to Alisan, Ariel and Marissa. Dorthy yells at Ted because the kids are cold, but ted says to give them a minute and close the window. A moment passes and all anger passes out of Ted as he defeatedly asks Dirk how things ended up like this. Dirk replies that it was his own fault. Dorthy wants to know how she should have helped. Dirk puts his hand on Ted’s cheek, and tells him to go with Dorthy and make a life with her. Reluctantly, Ted and Dorthy leaves.

Dorthy admits that even with all the stuff they had gone through, there were still moments when the two of them could still connect. Sharane speaks up and tells Dorthy that she knew her back in high school. The two women wonder how booze to do something like that to a person. Sharane and Captain Hunter bump into each other. He had just been coming by because the lab results on the blood have come back. Turns out the other blood on Dirk’s coat, is canine blood. This puts two possible suspects into view: Powell had Damien, a Rottweiler, and Dorthy had a Doberman. Lilly talks to Dorthy, not only as woman to woman but as friend to parent's friend. Dorthy insists that her dog Tucker is not a vicious dog. But Lilly has a theory of her own, believing that Dorthy had been jealous of what Ted and Dirk had.

Dorthy admits that Dirk did have her heart. She also admits that she knew how Dirk got dog blood on her coat, but it wasn’t from Tucker.

Dorthy is on her way back to the bar, but slows down and hides behind a corner as she sees Dirk hunched over an injured Damien, suffering from injuries from an earlier dogfight. Powell comes out from the bar bottle in one hand, furious because she paid $800 for Damien and she can’t fight at all. Dirk insists that he can fix Damien. But Powell won’t hear any of it. She fires Dirk and tells her to take the dog, she doesn’t care anymore. A moment later Dorthy leaves.

Powell sighs from the memories and admits that was not her finest moment. And to top it all off Powell says, in the middle of it, Garth, comes walking in. He had probably been watching the whole time. Powell says that Garth had come in to buy some drugs, and after he got them he left. Dirk went to lock up in the back, and the last time Powell saw Dirk, he was alone with Garth.

Lilly and Sharane question Garth again. They know he was watching the whole time that Powell got ”serviced”. But Garth claims that he went back to buy pot, that was all. Lilly notes that records show the day after the murder she checked into the hospital with an ugly gash on her arm. So far, all of the evidence is pointing at Garth. Garth says he went to go use the washroom after he bought the drugs. When he came out, Dirk was talking on the phone.

Garth tries to get some ”service” from Dirk, only to be attacked by Damien. He manages to escape out the back door, with Damien close at his heels. Garth angrily flashes his scars to Lilly and Sharane, saying that the ”psycho dog” ended up chasing him for three blocks and he was lucky he didn’t get rabies. Lilly and Sharane ponder over whether or not anybody was on the other end of the phone. Lilly suddenly realizes it was someone who wouldn’t be afraid of a 2 am phone call.

Ariel Porter visits the station, wanting to know what’s going on with the investigation. Sharane tells her that Dirk had fallen really low. Sharane insists that people should be remembered at their best and not how they ended up.

It is night time in an empty bar. Lilly sits at the counter when Ava Willis and Eric Halvorson walks in, sits down beside her and Eric asks if she’s okay. Lilly replies that she’s been staring at the Scotch for about an hour, she hasn’t had a drink in 28 years. Angie supportively says that she’s been there. He tells her not to start now and puts his hand over hers and gets Lilly to let go of the drink. He says this is a bad place to be in.

Lilly asks Angie if that is how it goes. Getting calls from boys and transgirls in the middle of the night when they’re weak and needy and she can score. She looked for him in the meeting going on in his area.

A tearful Dirk is in the parking lot calling desperately for Damien to come back. Ted and Garth jumps out from Garth's truck and Dirk tells him that he’s lost his dog. He has to find him, Damien is his test. If he can take care of Damien, he can take care of his kids. It is the least he can do since Damien took care of him, now he must do the same for him. Eventually Garth convinces Dirk to get into his truck and backs up, only to run over Damien. He tries to get Dirk to leave, but Dirk notices his sleeziness. Ted is starting to get agitated. Dirk tells him that he’s lower than him, and he laughs and tells Dirk that he is nothing. In a fit of anger, Garth hits Dirk on the head and he crumples to the ground beside the dumpster while Garth granbs Marissa and rapes her. Ted and Garth ignores Marissa and Dirk and jumps back in his truck and drives away. Damien limps over to Dirk and Marissa and lies down beside Dirk and Marissa as the snow continues to fall.

Lilly escorts Garth and Ted outside where Shrane, Nick Jeffries, Officer Dailey and a police officer are awaiting. The police officer escorts Ted and Garth into awaiting squad cars. Sharane puts Marissa and Dirk’s closed file in the vault. She walks to another section, takes out another box and starts to go through the contents. Outside of the station, Ariel hugs Alisan and Dorthy after she tells them the news. The three go their separate ways, Dorthy walking away with the two now grownup Ariel and Alisan. Officer Dailey watches above as Leona crosses the street.
