The eighth season of Vote for the Girls premiered on September 12, 2016 and ended on May 17, 2017. Ava Zinn officially announced Vote for the Girls's renewal on March 28, 2016.[1]

Ava Zinn and Holly Everman returned for their eighth consecutive season with Lanise White, Kendra Ray, Kymberly Alvaraz, Tracia (Ward) Matthewson, Danni McClannahan, Kathi Jameson, and Karly Jameson returning for their third season. Former moderator Hillary Matthewson, who returned after a two season absence (after marrying Tracia Ward), Rachael Passalt, Ann Dwyar, Kylie Dwyar, Marti McDaniel, Breeanna Sorensen, Tim Doogan, Donna Doogan, joined the moderator panel following the departures of Kellie Rock, Kathy Roberts, and Julia Passalt[2][3][4]. Nine additional moderators Nadia Lorenzo, Peta-Alyce Kaizer, Hannah Wilson, Maribel Mort, Maci Blanca, Sophia Williams, Natasha Gower, Jenny Riva, and Tulissa Kümmert all signed on.
