Vote for the Girls UK is a British web site devoted to voting for predominately female contestants; if a female is crowned the winner of The X Factor and/or The Voice UK or the last male contestant is eliminated, the site declares a victory. The first series of VFTGUK began on 01 June 2013 to 05 April 2014. Ava Zinn presented the show, whilst moderators Ariel Swaringen, Khayla Chow, and Kathi Jameson.

This was the only series to feature Swaringen as moderator as she died on 22 March 2014, as well as Jameson and eventually Chow with Jameson leaving after the first series and Chow being sacked on 18 September 2014.

Background
The series was first intended to air in 2011 after the American version of Vote for the Girls after it became a surprise hit following the site's support of Crystal Bowersox after Siobhan Magnus' elimination on American Idol, but was postponed after original presenter Lauren Wilson didn't like the concept so creator Ava Zinn added hosting duties. Natalie Hompkinson and Hayley Cavanagh (no relation to Hollie Cavanagh) were originally lined up as moderators, but both resigned before the programme was due to air, and Zinn could not find any replacements until Zinn and Ariel Swaringen was brought in as moderators.
