Usage

Use this template to link to appropriate NFL playoff article for a given season. For example, {{NFL playoff year|1978}} will create the following link: 1978.

Variations:

The text of the link can be controlled using the style attribute:

• {{NFL playoff year|1978|style=mid}} will create the following link: 1978 playoffs.
• {{NFL playoff year|1978|style=full}} will create the following link: 1978 NFL playoffs.
• {{NFL playoff year|1978|style=extended}} will create the following link: 1978–79 NFL playoffs.
• {{NFL playoff year|1978|style=complete}} will create the following link: 1978–79 National Football League playoffs.

Shortened version

The style designation can be further shortened as follows:

• {{NFL playoff year|1978|style=m}} will create the following link: 1978 playoffs.
• {{NFL playoff year|1978|style=f}} will create the following link: 1978 NFL playoffs.
• {{NFL playoff year|1978|style=e}} will create the following link: 1978–79 NFL playoffs.

The template will only create a link if the page is valid:
