Kent and Sally are respectively the two youngest children of Deanna Loveless and Eric Morgan. They have four siblings: Dylan (b. 1985), Jana (b. 1984), Sheena (b. 1982), and Elaine (b. 1980).

Eric was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and he was treated as a hero upon his return. His girlfriend later described him as a man who had a mixture of jealousy and fascination with seeing Sally have sex with other men and women. They lived in or near Phoenix throughout Elaine's childhood until moving to Portland, Oregon in 1993.[3]

Eric worked irregularly after his military service. Deanna had worked intermittently since 1974. When both parents were working, the family was financially well off. Eric did not usually share his income with the family and impulsively spent any money he earned on himself, especially motorcycles and cars. He filed for bankruptcy in 1999. Extended family members often described the family as visiting their houses hungry, apparently not getting food at home.[4]

Through most of their relationship, they would often visit bars in Phoenix and Portland, where Deanna would pretend to be a doctor or a dentist and introduce Eric as her boy toy.

Sally "Sal" Brock

Sally Morgan was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1990, the youngest of six children and the youngest daughter of Deanna Loveless and Eric Morgan.

In May 2004, her mother discovered that the then-14 year old Morgan was changing into jeans at school, and, after a confrontation that night, attempted to strangle her. Social workers became involved, and Morgan's parents agreed to unannounced visits to ensure that child abuse was not occurring.[5] Sally and Deanna came into periodic conflict; at one point, Deanna went to her then-boyfriend Jake Brock house after learning that Jake's father had purchased a Ouija board for the Sally and Jake. She demanded that the board be burnt and that the Brock house be exorcised.[6]

Sally became increasingly rebellious after her fifteenth birthday and also became fascinated with the occult. She would often attempt to impress her friends by pretending to be possessed by the spirit of vampires.[7] She began to engage in self-harm, especially after early 2005 when she began dating Brock who was involved in the practice. Her parents discovered the self-mutilation and checked her into a hospital on March 19, 2006. She was prescribed an anti-depressant and released. Two days later, with Brock and his friend Toni Wills, she cut her wrists deeply and was returned to the hospital. After treatment of her wound, she was admitted to the hospital's psychiatric ward.[8]

Morgan stayed in Portland in October 2011 to live with various friends. There she married Jake Brock and changed her last name to Sally Brock.

In March 2011, the now Mrs. Brock faced harsh criticism from the media after changing hairstyle and fashion into a self-described "edgy and rock" look, responding: "I know some people think that this is very rebellious but it's not. It's just me evolving." On April 16, 2014, questions were raised after pictures surfaced online of Morgan in masculine dress. In an interview, mother Deanna Loveless said that she would respect her child's decision about her own identity. On June 2, 2014, Morgan said that she identifies as a lesbian at that time. That same month, Brock debuted a new "boyish" look with much shorter hair cut and in a 2014 interview with Perri Johnson, Brock mentioned being attracted to both boys and girls since childhood and said "basically, my soul is male", but said she has no plans to pursue gender transition.

Ava Zinn announced on her own You Tube channel on April 18, 2014, Zinn suggested the event would have occurred in a Nevada brothel. Brock jumped into the bidding as she had sought to pursue a relationship. Brock was thought to be the favorite, but lost in a close bidding war by $5,000 to Denver anchorwoman Kymberly Alvaraz in July 2014.[9] Brock responded by going to court to win the relationship rights, but was shocked when an arbitrator ruled Alvaraz did win fair and square (Brock claimed Alvaraz bid seconds after Brock placed her bid). Brock then launched a campaign of harassment and bulling against Alvaraz.

Ava Zinn then announced on November 28, 2014, that Kymberly Alvaraz had palced the winning bid in Ava's Virginity Auction and began a long-term relationship. Had Brock been the highest bidder, Sally Brock would have been the first (and so far only) significant other of Ava Zinn younger than Zinn (at age 24 and 7 years Brock's senior, surpassing the late Mandy Davidson)
