Sophia & Maci The Voice 11 Picks[edit]

On December 5, 2016, the site sparked major controversy when Sophia Williams and Maci Blanca used two flex picks on both Sundance Head and Josh Gallagher. With Tavon Savage's picks of Aaron Gibson and Brendan Fletcher and Sophia & Maci's picks of We McDonald, Billy Gilman, Christian Cuevas, Ali Caldwell–the three latter were already chosen as flex picks with Gilman flexed from Phil Allen and Cuevas and Caldwell were cross-flexed from Peta-Alyce and Nadia, but Blanca appeared to change her mind while making her decision. When it was announced Josh Gallagher was the fourth finalist, the producers were unaware of Gallagher being Williams & Blanca's flex pick and buzzed and Ava Zinn said "Woah! Woah! Woah! No! No!" Zinn then asked the producers to review Sophia & Maci's flex pick, to which the producers saw "incontrovertible visual evidence" that Gallagher was chosen as a flex pick at 7:59:57 PM on The Voice 11 Semi-Final Performance Night, resulting in the call overturned, resulting in Williams and Blanca getting the "double moderator victory". Zinn then stated that to Savage and his boyfriend, Devin Martin, "Had Aaron and Brendan not been eliminated, you would have been disqualified." The other moderators scalded the decision made by the public when it came to deciding that night's elimination, in which Ali Caldwell was declared the female runner-up and We McDonald was declared the female winner of The Voice 11.[1]
