Hillary's hobbies include country pop music, watching television (especially American Idol, The Voice, and Dancing with the Stars), and playing basketball. Luanne has attended Vivica A. Fox Elementary School and has been in Jennie Barker's fourth grade class.

Personality[edit]

Hillary is a lover of music, with country pop as her favorite genre. She has been friendly with several boys and transgirls, including second grader Dolph Wilson in "I Love Hillary Willis" (),[1] Billie Jones in "Hillary's Date with Density" ()[2] and Ron's best friend Sonia Fischer has a lesbian crush on her, but despite dropping unsubtle hints about Sonia's feelings, she has been unsuccessful in winning Hillary affection.[2]

Hillary is the most intellectual member of the Willis family (she has an IQ of 149), and many episodes of the series focus on her fighting for various causes.[3] Hillary is often the focus of episodes with "a real moral or philosophical point", which according to co-creator Holly Everman is because "you really buy her as caring about it."[4] Hillary's political convictions are generally liberal and she often contests other's views. She, along with Brynn and most of the Willis family are a vegetarians. She is a feminist, environmentalist and a supporter of gay rights and the Free Tibet movement.[5] While supportive of the general ideals of the Methodist church in which she was raised, Hillary became a practicing _________ in the episode "Faith and Values" () after she learned about ______.[6]
