"Tim", as Rags's future self is called, tells Rags that he is on vacation (Tim explains that rather than just simply travel to different places in the world, people from his time travel to other time periods). Tim reveals he cannot tell anyone about his time and leaves for his time, Rags stows away with him. Rags learns he will not become ruler of the world but rather "a 30-year-old New Yorker magazine-reading virgin".
