She was best known for being the niece of ''Vote for the Girls USA'' co-host [[Holly Everman]]. 

==Early life==
Nermal Everman was born in Muncie, Indiana, the only daughter of [[Elisa Everman]] (b. 1979) and [[Michelle Steele]] (b. Miccah Steele 1980 d. 2014). She is the half-sister of [[Tiffani Zinn]] (b. Timothy Zinn 1999) and Shushu Zinn (b. 1999 d. 2009). Tiffani began transitioning from male to female in 2016.

She lived on the northeast of Muncie with her mother until they moved to Brandon, Florida in 2008. Nermal attended Brandon High School in Brandon, Florida for her freshman, sophomore, and junior years but moved to Indianapolis to attend Lawrence North High School for her senior year, which she graduated in 2013 instead of her hometown's Muncie Central High School (as her mother and Aunt Lynsey both graduated in 2000, her Aunt [[Holly Everman|Holly]] and Uncle [[Garfield Everman|Garfield]] respectively graduated in 1998 and 1997.)

==Career==
===Vote for the Girls moderator===
In a Facebook post by her aunt (Holly Everman) on the American version of Vote for the Girls, it was revealed on July 11, 2014 that Nermal Everman was confirmed as a moderator of the British versions of Vote for the Girls. Nermal inherited the moderator role that her father, Michelle Steele. However, Nermal Everman was initially dismissed from the American version of Vote for the Girls due to Aeverine Zinn Holdings (owner of Vote for the Girls franchise) strict family contractual restrictions disallowing immediate family members serving as moderators to protect the Vote for the Girls' ratings and revenue; in the case of Nermal Everman, she is the niece of current co-host Holly Everman and daughter of former VFTG USA moderator Michelle Steele, and Nermal's aunt Holly has been with the American version since its debut in April 2010. Nermal Everman could serve as moderator on the American version, but only off-camera, including making frontrunner picks, except for common primary picks not claimed by Holly Everman, so Nermal's mother, Elisa Steele (and the sister of Holly Everman) approached Ava Zinn about allowing Nermal to become a moderator of Vote for the Girls UK as a birthday present for Nermal after she chose to resign from the American version completely.  As mentioned above, Nermal Everman is the niece of of VFTG USA co-host Holly Everman, which would have come in handy had Holly Everman resign from the American version.<ref name="HollyDUI" />  This issue has also affected many other members of the same immediate family that have worked with Ava Zinn over the years, Nermal Everman was initially dismissed from the American version, but was later reinstated following her aunt's second DUI arrest on August 24, 2014.<ref name="HollyDUI">{{cite web

On January 10, 2015, Holly announced on her web site that she and Nermal will serve as a duo moderator for Vote for the Girls' seventh season, making it the second time (after Ava Zinn and Kymberly Alvaraz) in the site's history there will be a duo moderator. It was also announced that Nermal has been confirmed to join the moderator panel of the site's Austalian adaptation.

==Death==
In an early June 2015 interview, Holly Everman said Nermal was healthy and ready to begin the seventh season of Vote for the Girls again.<ref name=> </ref> Three weeks before Nermal died, Everman participated in a Vote for the Girls reward as the winning moderator by going to Myers Drive-In in Marion, Indiana and, according to [[Kendra Ray]], Everman went to a restaurant in Kokomo, Indiana to plan a birthday party for Nermal that she had arranged for her the following month.<ref name="NermalDeath">

Everman was heading from Muncie to the Vote for the Girls set in Marion from visiting her grandparents on July 4, 2015. She drove westbound from [[wikipedia:Indiana State Road 32|Jackson Street]] and then northbound on Bunch Boulevard at 11:45 p.m. EDT. At approximately 11:50 p.m. [[wikipedia:Eastern Time Zone (North America)|EDT]], Everman fell asleep behind the wheel of her mother's Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera (manufactured in 1994, the year she was born) sideswiped a string of mailboxes, flew 45 feet over the [[wikipedia:Cardinal Greenway|Cardinal Greenway]], and came to rest plunging into the [[wikipedia:White River (Indiana)|White River]] where she eventually drowned.

At about 12:00 AM on July 5, 2015, Vote for the Girls Australia [[wikipedia:Television producer|producer]] and VFTG USA fellow moderator [[Lanise White]] noted that Everman had failed to report to work as scheduled, so she asked creator [[Ava Zinn]] to call Everman's home in Muncie.  Everman's mother, Elisa, answered the telephone, explained that she had not returned from Kokomo.  By 4:00 AM, however, she had still not arrived, and White filled-in for Everman as a guest moderator on ''Vote for the Girls Australia''. At about 5:30 AM, [[Kymberly Alvaraz]] called the Muncie [[wikipedia:police|police]].

When police arrived at Elisa Everman's home they found Nermal's car in the parking lot, as well as evidence suggesting there had been a struggle near that car. Among other evidence, Nermal's personal items, including her keys, were found strewn about the area and police reported recovering an unidentified palm print from her car.

On the morning of July 6, a resident walking near the Cardinal Greenway in Muncie,<ref name="CBS 41 Nermal story">{{cite news|title=Nermal Everman Death: Officials analyze water in river where Muncie woman was found dead|newspaper=CBS 41 Action News|date=July 6, 2015|accessdate=July 6, 2015}}</ref> found Everman's body. Police<ref name="NermalDeath" /> and the Delaware County's health department found that the water had not been contaminated after the city experienced major flooding in the area prior to Everman's death.

Notes addressed to her mother and sister were also found in Everman's clothing.<ref name="NermalDeath"/> Her body was recovered and transported by ambulance to Ball Memorial Hopsital, but she could not be resuscitated.<ref name="NermalDeath"/>

Everman's mother, Elisa, confirmed to Muncie Police the car Nermal was driving was Elisa's car (which also confirms Nermal was kidnapped and later drowned after Elisa's 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera plunged into the White River, implying Everman lost control of the car after the brakes locked up) and affirmed Nermal's body in Elisa's car. Because the car was manufactured in 1994, one source reported to WMRI-FTV that the car had been involved in a 2000 incident. Elisa later learned the same car was driven by Laura Bakula in the 2000 incident when she was involved in a domestic violence case after Bakula's ex boyfriend at the time slashed the tires, brake line, and transmission fluid in Fort Wayne (that particular car had two notable previous owners-- Bob Imperial from 1994 until he sold the car in 1998 to Laura Bakula. Bakula sold the car to its final owner, Elisa Everman in 2004).
