Lauren Paula Herman (born May 26, 1981) is a beauty queen from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Early life and education[edit]

Herman attended MacArthur High School and later graduated from University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in public relations.[1]

Career[edit]

Herman hosted Oklahoma's Most Wanted (a statewide version on the FOX television show America's Most Wanted) that aired on then-Fox O&O's (now Fox affiliates owned by NoSirGifts) in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

In August 2005, Herman joined WFTI (channel 2) in Oklahoma City, the Fox affiliate, as a co-anchor of the station's 4 and 10 P.M. newscasts. Herman left WFTI in 2015 and joined Indianapolis CBS affiliate WIFX as the weekday morning anchor as well as joining Vote for the Girls USA.

On September 20, 2017, Herman's supported contestant, Darci Lynne Farmer, was named the winner on the twelfth season of America's Got Talent, becoming the second consecuitive Purple Team South to win a season of America's Got Talent (Fellow Purple Team South moderator Bria Savage became the first as her supported contestant Grace VanderWall won the previous AGT season).
