Jenna Monroe is an investigative reporter and Special Projects Manager on Action News Fort Wayne at WTOR-FTV/WXXC-FDT in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Previously she anchored all evening newscasts (4, 4:30, 5, 10 on WEAI-FTV).
Early life[edit]
Monroe was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana. She studied telecommunications and journalism, earning her degree from Indiana State University.
Biography[edit]
She worked as an anchor and reporter at WEAI in 1983 where she began her career. After leaving Evansville, she joined the then-Fox affiliate in 1996 as an reporter, and began weekend anchor duties after WTOR switched affiliations from Fox to CBS in 2004.[1]
For most of her career at the Fort Wayne duopoly, she anchored the weekend editions of 41 Fort Wayne News at 6 (now CBS 41 Action News at 6:00PM: Weekend Edition from 2004 to 2014 and INNCD 47 News at 10 (now INNCD 47 Action News at 10:00PM: Weekend Edition) from 2008 to 2014. However, when WTOR and WXXC reshuffled its news teams, she was reassigned to Investigative Reporter.[2]
