Ashli Lynne Zinn (June 7, 1998 - May 9, 2020) was an American producer best known as the first adopted daughter of Vote for the Girls host and former WXXC-FTV Fort Wayne news reporter Ava Zinn.

Life and career

Zinn was born Ashli Lynne Barrington to Angie Willis (b. 1978 d. 2010) and Aaron Barrington (b. 1974 d. 2000) and raised in Upland, Indiana. After her biological father died of overdose of meth, Ashli was raised by her then-stepfather, internet television personality/webmaster Frank Zinn (now adopted father Ava Zinn). Ashli has a half-sister Tabitha (b.2003 d. 2018). Just days shy of Ashli's 12th birthday, her mother died of a heart attack.

She attended her mother's alma matter Eastbrook High School, where she has attended from August 2011 until May 2016. Despite her adopted father's move to Fort Wayne, Ashli and adopted half-sister and half-sister-in-law (Jenna) remained in Gas City and Marion, respectively, until moving to Fort Wayne in 2019 while her adopted transgendered half-brother, Kalvin (b. 2000 d. 2020) moved to Bloomington before moving to Fort Wayne himself in December 2019 and adopted half-sister, Samantha had already relocated to Fort Wayne in 2016.

Death

On May 9, 2020, Ashli died from suicide via drug overdose.
