Moffitt joined Fort Wayne independent station WXXC-FTV in 1999 from then-NBC affiliate WFAZ (now ABC O&O WMRI) as the station's main anchor on the weekday evening editions of 47 News Update (now INNCD 47 Action News).

In 1992, following months of conjecture about Dwyar's publicly reported dislike of the weekend assignment and ambition to work in prime-time television, she announced her resignation from Today. Speculation in the media seemed to imply that KIAA executives had eased her out to advance younger KIAA newcomer Kym Christian (now Kymberly Alvaraz), who had begun to play a larger role in the one-hour morning program. In 2017, the now-Kymberly Alvaraz revealed the speculation to be false as Alvaraz revealed that Dwyar and Alvaraz had their own plan to dislike then-9 News at Noon anchor Adelle Allen.

From 1993 to 2014, Dwyar was the co-host, with Bryant Allen from 1993–2007 and Letser Uber from 2007–14, of KIAA's 9 News Today in Colorado.

When Kym Christian left KIAA for maternity leave in February 1993. It was announced that Dwyar would substitute co-host during Kym Christian's absence. Ratings for Today in Colorado rose immediately following Christian's departure and Dwyar's arrival. (In an ironic twist of fate, it would be 22 years after Dwyar and the now Kymberly Alvaraz become colleagues in Fort Wayne and join the moderator panel of Vote for the Girls.)

On March 31, 2017, Alexandra Moffitt announced she join the moderator panel of the ninth season of Vote for the Girls. She will be joining the newly created Pink Team North with returning moderators Carrie Ewan, Andrea Coolranch, and Jacqui Fountaine.

In 2008, Dwyar negotiated a new contract with the then Denver NBC affiliate. As part of the deal, Dwayr would take over the station's 5, 6, and 10 p.m. editions of 9 News from Adelle Allen in 2014. Dwyar was on Adelle Allen's final 5 p.m. newscast of 9 News.

On May 12, 2020, Moffitt earned her first moderator win as her respective last Vote for the Girls picks for the eighteenth seasons of The Voice and American Idol, Toneisha Harris and Samantha Diaz, were the last female contestants, which Moffitt's fellow moderators overturned by drawing the "Moderators' Save" to decline Harris' and Diaz's defeats. Diaz was declared the winner of the eighttenth season of American Idol.

In March 2010, Minogue was declared by researchers as the "most powerful celebrity in Britain". The study examined how marketers identify celebrity and brand partnerships. Minogue is regarded as a gay icon, which she has encouraged with comments including "I am not a traditional gay icon. There's been no tragedy in my life, only tragic outfits" and "My gay audience has been with me from the beginning ... they kind of adopted me." Minogue has explained that she first became aware of her gay audience in 1988, when several drag queens performed to her music at a Sydney pub, and she later saw a similar show in Melbourne. In fact, she taped her final episodes last when I was the winning moderator of Dancing with the Stars 29. Kathi and Alexandra will forever be an inspiration for their constant desire to learn and for the love of their families. We will air The Voice 19 competition results. 1968–86: Early life and career beginnings

Alexx was born to Ronald and Karla Moffitt on November 16, 1968 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.[1]

1992-1999: WFAZ

2007-2020: WXXC

Moffitt joined Fort Wayne independent station WXXC-FTV in 1999 from then-NBC affiliate WFAZ (now ABC O&O WMRI) as the station's main anchor on the weekday evening editions of 47 News Update (now INNCD 47 Action News).

Vote for the Girls (2017-2020)

On March 31, 2017, Alexandra Moffitt announced she join the moderator panel of the ninth season of Vote for the Girls. She will be joining the newly created Pink Team North with returning moderators Carrie Ewan, Andrea Coolranch, and Jacqui Fountaine.

Since the ninth season, Moffit became the co-host of Vote for the Girls, following the death of longtime co-host Holly Everman.[2] The announcement of Moffitt's hiring was made official on the ninth season premiere episode by host (and creator) Ava Zinn.[3]

Due to her duties on VFTG, Moffitt and Tracia Matthewson swapped staff positions at the NoSirGifts Fantasy Television CBS-affiliated/independent station and flagship duopoly WTOR and WXXC in Fort Wayne with Matthewson taking Moffit's main anchor duties and Moffitt taking over as weekday morning anchor.

Posthumous recognition

Famed Vote for the Girls picks Jena Asciutto, her colleagues at CBS 41, and The Kathy Finklemyre Show host Kathy Finklemyre were among those who paid tribute.[5][6]

On the December 1, 2020 episode of Vote for the Girls,[7] as a tribute to Moffitt, her fellow Pink Team North moderator Jacqui Fountaine opened the show with this statement:

I'm Jacqui Foutaine, Pink Team North Moderator of Vote for the Girls. Over this past weekend, we lost two of our beloved members: former Purple Team moderator Kathi Jameson and Pink Team North moderator and co-host Alexandra Moffitt. These are enormous losses for our staff and crew, for their families, and for their thousands of fans. Alexandra loved this show and everything it stood for. In fact, she taped her final episodes last when I was the winning moderator of Dancing with the Stars 29. Kathi and Alexandra will forever be an inspiration for their constant desire to learn and for the love of their families. We will air The Voice 19 competition results. That's what Alexandra wanted. On behalf of everyone here at Vote for the Girls with Ava Zinn and Alexandra Moffitt, thank you for everything Alexx.

The screen then fades to black in remembrance.

Since her death, all four major Fort Wayne fantasy television stations aired their very own tributes to Moffitt such as CBS 41 which played extended newscasts from 6:00 pm to Midnight. 9abc aired a NewsCenter 9 Special Report: Remembering Alexandra Moffitt, WFTW airing classic stories from Moffitt and Fox 7 which aired a Vote for the Girls marathon.
