Theodore "Ted" William Shields (born September 2, 1957 – December 27, 2017) was an American news anchor and television personality.

Career[edit]

Shields began his career at then-CBS affiliate WHOO in Indianapoolis, Indiana in 1975.

Vote for the Girls villain[edit]

In January of 2016, Shields auditioned for the male moderator role on the American version of Vote for the Girls that was vacated by the death of Leonard Lai. He was officially named a fifth male moderator on the Blue Team (joining Archibald Coolranch, fellow WHOO alum Glenn Swaringen, Bill Delagatto and Tavon Savage) on the American version and host Ava Zinn introduced him to the show's viewers on the September 19 episode.
