"Quillsville Cold Case: The Stalking of Ava Willis" is an episode of the fourteenth season of the American animated television series Queen of the Willis. The episode originally aired in broadcast syndication in the United States in 2025.

A woman awakens from a coma months after the attack that killed her roommate. Though she remembers little from that night yet remembers her attack and rape from 1998, the police learn she had a twisted transmale and three female admirers Ethan, Hope, Trina, and Melinda. While they look for the four, Ava must deal with a sudden (but not unexpected) loss. In the end, though, it's Ethan who comes to them, with a weapon, determined not to let anyone get between him and his love, "Lyndsey"...

Plot[edit]

December 1998 Lyndsey Washington and Rachelle Darby had just moved into their new apartment in Quillsville. Rachelle was a stressed, unemployed computer programmer. They discussed old memories. Their neighbor, QMPD Officer Elaine Reed, entered their home to give Lyndsey and Rachelle a lift to college, found them Rachelle dead on the floor, with the exception of Lyndsey who soon went into coma because of a severe gun wound on her head. The case was marked homicide/suicide and the motive was rape or sexual assault.

Months later, Lyndsey awakens from the coma. Back then, they could never positively identify Rachelle as the shooter, so they're hoping to get some information from Lyndsey now. DA Pia Yoque wants the case closed. Lyndsey is still traumatized by the events and is looked after by Jennifer Markleson, a worker of the rehab center. Though doctors say her memory is spotty, the detectives decide to try and get any information out of her. They ask if she knows who did it, what they were doing when it happened. Lyndsey flashes back to seeing her roommate dead and the gun pointed at her. Lilly and Ava confirms that Lyndsey saw Rachelle dead before she was shot, meaning she wasn't the shooter. Whoever shot them called himself Ethan.

Lilly Rush, Nick Jeffries, Brad Hunter and Jana Miller discuss the case. Ava and her father Harry is taking care of Carter Willis, who is 113, before she heads back into work. Ava, Harry and Carter discuss Something About Amelia (previously mentioned in "Something About Loose Ava". Back at the office, Miller and Valens question Elaine Reed. Elaine said Lyndsey didn't listen to Rachelle, especially regarding her girlfriend; who was not mentioned in the report. Elaine is not sure where Lyndsey met the girlfriend, but she guesses college. She does remember seeing her and three other girls scoping around outside the apartment one night, though. Miller and Jeffries go to the college to speak to who they believed was the girlfriend, Elaine claims to have only been friends with benefits. And she couldn't be the online girlfriend, she didn't own a computer.

Flashback Lyndsey finds a note from a secret admirer. It's signed Ethan. But Elaine denies it's from him and doesn't want her telling anyone it is. He scoffs at the note and drops it to the ground.

Present Jeffries figures the online chats may have been between Lyndsey and Ethan. Miller states that they were able to find some info from the hard drives recovered at the apartment. They find that Lyndsey was conversing with someone named ErinTrackett06. That's Ethan when he was known as Erin; Hunter knows his Shakespeare. They have hours of chat sessions. But "Ethan's" writings got darker a couple weeks before the attack. She remembers hiding in the bathroom sometimes, wanting to call someone, but she had no friends.

Flashback Lyndsey and Rachelle are arguing, again. Lyndsey runs the shower to drown out the noise. The phone rings and the person on the other end asks if she liked the rose. The caller tells her that he's watching her right now. She sees a figure outside. Ethan tells her he's in love and she draws a heart on the steam on the window. He asks her to put an arrow through it and she does. She looks up and he's gone.

Present She's disgusted at her actions. Brad Hunter notices a rose on her bedside table and asks who sent it. Lyndsey has no idea. The card has a heart with an arrow through it. Jeffries and Hunter talk to another neighbor and fellow QMPD Officer, Jarrett Dailey. He remembers going over to the apartment the night Rachelle died. There was someone inside the house.

Flashback The computers are flashing different images of Lyndsey. Rachelle is freaked out. She smiles and figures Ethan did it. Rachelle asks if that's who she's been messaging. The computer continues to flash images.

Present Brad Hunter and Nick Jeffries figure Rachelle's chats may have brought the stalker into the home. Lilly Rush tells Jana Miller that Lyndesy made a call that night on her cell phone, to Elaine. Brad goes to find Ava. He finds her at home with her wife, Angie, daughters Deanna and Brynn and Ava's father, Harry. Ava's grandfather passed the night before. She was alone. Ava's mad at herself for not being there when he passed. She asks Brad to give her some time alone. Nick Jeffries and Brad Hunter talk to Elaine. She says Lyndsey called her crying. She went to see her because she got attached.

Lyndsey tried to talk to Elaine about her problems, but she didn't hear her. Nick Jeffries and Lilly Rush offers Ava their condolences. Ethan and three girls Hope, Trina, and Melinda brings Lyndsey to the station. Ava takes Lyndsey aside to talk with her. She tells Kim that Elaine saw her with a gun. Lyndsey says she didn't hate anybody, she hated herself.

Ava tries to get Lyndsey to remember who she saw that night. Lyndsey's face changes as a gun is now held to Ava's head and knives pulled towards her stomach, chest and throat. It's Ethan, Hope, Trina and Melinda. Brad Hunter, Lilly Rush, Elaine Reed, Jarrett Dailey, and Nick Jeffries burst in. the group of four grabs Lyndsey hostage. Others run from the building. Ethan orders them to cuff themselves to equipment. Hunter tries to reason with Ethan, who is making demands. Jeffries calls to speak to the tactical commander. Police have now surrounded the building. Reed and Dailey have their phones and secretly texts Jeffries, who tells police outside that it's Ethan, Hope, Trina, and Melinda holding them hostage. Ethan tells Lyndsey he got the job after his bilateral mastectomy so his would be the first face he saw when she woke up. Lyndey tells Ethan he's disgusting. Sharpshooters fire at Ethan. He's fatally wounded but not before shooting Brad hunter in the right shoulder. Melinda takes the gun away and turns the gun to Ava when she told Ethan that Lyndsey doesn't love him. She let him know that Lyndsey was not the one writing him online. Hunter is pissed and makes his way in. Ava tells Melinda to get away from the windows and move to a room so she isn't shot. She grabs Lyndsey and demands Ava goes with them. She leads her to the room on the other side of the mirror. Trina orders her to shut the door behind her. Hunter comes upstairs. Jeffries is tending to Hunter. Hope tells Lyndsey she used to be an EMT. Ava texts Lilly. She tells her they are in the observation room. Then gives her code for her to help.

Ava grabs Lyndsey and walks her out of the room. Before she can leave, Melinda, Hope and Trina stand and Trina points the gun at her while Melinda slices Ava's throat and stabs Ava's thigh. Lilly shoots Trina and Melinda and Hope dead from the investigation room, but not before Trina got a shot off. Lyndsey sees her family as Jana Miller comforts her. Ava is taken out on a stretcher. Lilly glares at the three dead bodies of Ethan, Trina, and Melinda. The team waits for word on Ava. ADA Kristy Ellis comforts Brad Hunter. Despite her grandfather dying, she is not without family.
