Professional career[edit]

Death[edit]

On October 16, 2017 during a taping of an episode of Vote for the Girls, Donbar was stabbed in his arm, rib cage and chest by Pink Team West Moderator Sally Brock after a bench-clearing brawl. His wife, Sonia was not injured in the incident. Donbar had extensive blood loss through a severed brachial artery and he died on October 17.

Brock and her brother Kent Morgan had been arrested by security guards on the VFTG set. Police said both Brock and Morgan confessed. Morgan and Brock were both charged with two counts of felony first-degree murder as Donbar's fellow Purple Team moderator Peta-Alyce Kaizer also died from her own injuries, and four counts of aggravated assault as fellow moderators Nadia Lorenzo, Marla McClinton, Andrea Coolranch and Ava Zinn also suffered stab wounds. If convicted, both Brock and Morgan, they could be sentenced to life imprisonment.

After his death, Donbar's wife and mother made the decision to donate his organs for transplant. Donbar's corneas, lungs, kidneys, heart, liver, and pancreas were transplanted, saving the lives of four people.[1]
