Alaina Lori Jameson (born December 02, 1963) is the 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscast co-anchor for NoSirGifts-owned CBS affiliate CBS 9 as well as the 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. newscast for independent station MIX 22 in Chicago.

Early life[edit]

Jameson was born in Dover, Delaware and grew up in Joilet, Illinois. She has a sister, Andrea. During her teenage years, she's working as drive-thru shift leader at Burger King.


Jameson started her career in Chicago in 1985. NBC owned WMAC "NBC 5" hired her as a general assignment reporter and less than a year later, promoted her to producer and co-anchor of the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts. Jameson later went to competior then-Fox affiliate WCIL, where she began anchoring the early evening news.

Personal life[edit]

Jameson was married to real estate mogul Martin Steinblack in a traditional Roman Catholic wedding ceremony on March 20, 1983 at the Holy Name Cathedral. Jameson and Steinblack have 4 kids including Stephanie Leslie Jameson (born June 18, 1989), Kathi Jameson (born Alexander Heath Jameson November 17, 1991 died November 28, 2020), Nicolas Dennis Jameson (born May 15, 1993), Allison Mary Jameson (born April 7, 1998). Steinblack died on January 17, 2018. She currently lives in Joilet, Illinois.
